THE REAL INDIA
The travel organization of Dev Sahoo & Siem Edink let their customers experience the real India….
What was particularly striking were the prices they proposed… they were very well priced compared to the other organizations.
So I asked Robert Top if they would not like to give a travel presentation here in our far back corner (Bachten de Kupe)… and they did….
As a result, in April 2022 we left to experience a trip in the Himalayas in the province of Uttrakhand (just above Nepal)… a trip that will stay with us forever.
And this was also the reason that we signed up again in 2024 for the 24-day Goa & Kerala trip…. In the south of India we visited several provinces and even drove to the southernmost point of India Kanyakumari.
What I mean by the real India is that planning is out of the question… India is the country is the country of improvisation…. And now it is this that the Duo “Siem&Dev” can…
There was always a solution and a solution was adapted that was in the interest of the customer….
Through them I got to know the real India on board a Royal Enfield Himalayan… the beautiful country, the culture and especially the people and for that I say Namasté.

HIMALAYAS magical & enchanting
Yesterday our trip ended in India;
We have seen a large part of the Himalayas in all their glory and grandeur from Nepal, then from Tibet and now in India the most northwestern part.
This trip with the motorbike was the most adventurous trip we have ever made. Me with the motorbike and Janneke in the support car straight through Spiti Valley in the Himalayas to an altitude of 4500 m.
Only afterwards when I see the videos of Dev's GoPro do I realize which abysses I have driven along... goodness gracious... Fortunately you don't see all the abysses and it was mainly enjoying the beautiful landscape.
It was an adventure we will never forget
MORE THAN A MOTORCYCLE TRIP
AFTER visiting the Motorbeurs Utrecht, where I had a chat with Siem and Dev, I decided to take the plunge and make a trip to India. My trip to India went through the Himalayas to the Spiti Valley. That was the recommended trip from Siem and Dev.
And honestly, when I read that the trip was an average trip, I thought that the trip might not be for me. But... the trip was more than what I read in the brochure. It was not only a motorcycle trip through the mountains with a good mix of on- and offroad.
It was also a trip through the cultural heritage of India, with visits to various temples and highlights such as the post office of Hikkim and a tea plantation. The trip included so much more than just the ride and that is why I recommend this trip if you are looking for a challenge and want to take a small cultural dive into India.
The accommodations were great every night, including the food.
A small downside was that the trip was over before I knew it. Thanks, Dev and Siem..
PRICE-QUALITY RATIO UNBEATABLE
Siem and Dev, from Bikers for India, thank you for a fantastic motorcycle travel experience in Nepal and India. The journey from Kathmandu to Delhi was a wonderful combination of varied motorcycling with sometimes challenging off-road routes in the Himalayas, a thousand bends, driving in Delhi and many sights.
Siem and Dev know their way around here perfectly and complement each other seamlessly as perfect hosts. Riding a motorcycle every day and admiring the new surroundings at the end of the afternoon.
Hotels are sometimes basic by Dutch standards, but luxurious and carefully selected by local standards. Very friendly people everywhere and exceptionally delicious food.
The price-quality ratio of this trip is unbeatable. I like to travel by motorcycle, but this was my first organized trip and it turned out to be a good choice because Nepal and India have more challenges in terms of language, permits, visas, roadside assistance, etc. than the European countries where I can find my own way.
My expectations were exceeded on all counts and all I had to do was enjoy it without any worries. The program is very well put together and I would never have been able to see what I have seen in 18 days.
Very nice small group of like minded people who wanted to experience and enjoy. I am impressed by the versatility and capabilities of the light but tough and excellently maintained Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycles, up to 2 years old, which are perfect for this job.
Apart from one, unavoidable flat tire given the condition of the roads, we had no bad luck. Along the way, service stations provide the necessary checks and preventive repairs.
I will definitely be back and my next trip with Bikers for India is already planned. If you want more than just logging miles, you want to surrender yourself to the care of 2 great guides and really want to get a good impression of the beauty and culture of Nepal and Northern India, then I highly recommend this trip.
EXCELLENT GUIDES
Ride with them for 18 days, 2 excellent guides who want to arrange everything. Driven a lot alone with a fixed route and is always up to date. Stop at an agreed location to drink or eat.
Also met nice people who want to experience the same thing. I will definitely go with Bikers for India again.
COUPLE ON THE BIKE
We as a couple did the motorcycle tour Delhi Kathmandu, my girlfriend on the back of the motorcycle.
Thanks to Siem and Dev we had quite an adventure, we were guided from start to finish.
We flew to India a few days earlier because we wanted to see other things, including the Taj Mahal and Jaipur.
Also immediately helped from day 1 with a taxi, tips and sights.
If you are looking for a versatile adventure, Bikers for India is the place to be.
Thanks again to Siem and Dev for this fantastic adventure.
PERFECTLY ARRANGED
One of the most beautiful holidays of my life I experienced with this organization. Everything was perfectly arranged. When I got sick, I had the necessary antibiotics within one day and I could continue with the group two days later. In the meantime I was perfectly cared for by the owner of the guesthouse in Leh Ladakh.
All in all a very positive experience.
I will definitely go on one of their trips again and can definitely recommend Bikers for India as a reliable and committed organization.
